Bomb threat called into Fairmont hotel in downtown Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — The Fairmont hotel in downtown Pittsburgh has been deemed safe after a bomb threat was called into the hotel Thursday afternoon.

Authorities said the threat was called in to police for the hotel about 2:30 p.m.

Pittsburgh Police Lt. Jason Lando said bomb dogs went through the entire hotel and found nothing. The scene was reported safe just before 4:30 p.m.
