Nassau Bahamas – December 3, 2011 – (www.hospitalitybusinessnews.com) Jimmy Buffet has Margaritaville, now the Beach Boys are ready to open their own brand of eatery.
According to Vegasinc.com the iconic California band is pairing with Caesars Entertainment and the Monsoon Group to open the Beach Boys Good Vibration Restaurant at Bally’s. The establishment is expected to debut in summer 2012, the year of the Beach Boys’ 50th anniversary.
Operations Manager Nick Raymond said “People say, ‘Wow, the Beach Boys, that’s 50 years ago. But we’re bringing in a new cutting edge. It’s more like surf fusion. It’s not like we’re going to play ‘Good Vibrations’ every five minutes. It’s going to be about what’s happening in Huntington Beach, Hawaii, Australia, South Africa. It’s about cars, surf, women, the lifestyle.”
Plans are to expand around the world and perhaps to other planets, as demand rises, are already in the works. It appears that, today, if you are a Band/Performer you need your own restaurant and bar. Who knows, maybe the estate of Amy Winehouse will start a chain of Pubs.
